AboutHoli Indian Restaurant
Bringing the Flavors of India to Bedford, MA
Our JourneyFrom Punjab to Bedford
Sotry
At Holi Indian Restaurant in Bedford, every dish we serve carries a story—one rooted in tradition, shaped by perseverance, and flavored with the vibrant spirit of India.
Gurnam Singh was born in a small farming village in Punjab, India—the son of a hardworking farmer. From an early age, he learned the values of dedication, humility, and the importance of nourishing others. While his family’s fields provided food for the body, Gurnam discovered that the kitchen could feed the soul. He developed a deep love for cooking, inspired by the bold flavors and rich heritage of Indian cuisine.
In 1995, with little more than determination and a dream, Gurnam came to the United States. He brought with him years of experience working in respected restaurants across India, along with a vision to one day open his own place where he could share the tastes of his homeland with a new community.
Kalvinder Singh arrived in the U.S. in 1998 and started his culinary journey in California. Like Gurnam, he dove into the hospitality industry with passion, learning not just the craft of cooking but the art of service. His warm personality and commitment to quality made him a beloved figure wherever he worked.
Together, they founded Holi Indian Restaurant—a name chosen to reflect the colorful, joyful spirit of India’s most beloved festival. Holi is more than just a restaurant; it’s a celebration of life, flavor, and connection.
With over four decades of combined experience, Gurnam and Kalvinder have created a place where every guest is treated like family and every meal is made with heart. Their story—from the fields of Punjab to the kitchens of Bedford—is a testament to the American dream, flavored by Indian tradition.
Come, be a part of their journey. Taste the tradition. Celebrate the color.
